In the article 'Hype", the author emphasizes advertisement in our dialy life. According to him, three thousands marketing messages are flooding our brain per hour including display ads, radio commercials, and TV commercials. The author believes that advertisements are the now the most prevelant of the mental pollutants since there is nowhere to run away from advertisements.
I strongly agree with the author when he wrote 'any where your eyes can possibly come to rest is now a place that, in corporate America's view, can and ought to be filled with a logo or product message.". that's so true. I personally emphasize a hundred of ads every day since i wake up in the morning and turn on the TV untill I go back home at late night. My eyes can't resist the subway stations, trains, buses, and displays that are every where even when am using bathrooms in some restaurants!
I like the idea of advertisement because it helps the consumer to know what the market is offering and also to discover the best products. However, Ibelieve that too much of everything is too much. So people who are responsible should understand that sometimes they put us under stress when they present too much.
